UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Phoenix Business Journal:

The Charlotte-based company has worked on severaoluniversity projects, including the Barnhardt Student Activity Irwin Belk Track and Fieldr Center, Lynch Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Research Center. Rodgers Builder s also is the construction managerd onthe university’s new, $50.4 million Center City Building project that is slated to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreakingg ceremony was held in April forthe 12-story, classroom buildingy at the corner of Ninth and Brevards streets in uptown Charlotte.
“What sets Pat aparyt from most is her she remains personally invested in the institutionsd and organizations she touches long afterd her formal involvementhas ended,” says Philip UNC Charlotte chancellor. “Her commitment to the betterment of our communitt extends to herbusiness philosophy. In Rodgers Builders has been hailed time and agaim as the epitomeof civic-minded Rodgers is also chair of the Charlotte Symphonyt board and will assume the chairmanship of the Charlotte Chambe board in 2011. The university established the Distinguishedd Service Awardin 1987.
It honorzs individuals who have provided outstanding leadership and service to the Charlotte communitt and to the advancemenf ofUNC Charlotte. Rodgers was honored Tuesday during a luncheohn atthe school. UNC Charlotte is the fourth-larges campus among the 17 institutionse of theUNC system. It is the largest institution of higher education in the Charlotte offering doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s programs. Fall 2008 enrollment was includingnearly 5,000 graduate students.
