McLean-based CoVant was formed by CI CapitalPartnerds LLC, a New York-based private investment firm, along with a groupl of executives led by Joseph former president and CEO of Fairfax-based Fallsd Church-based General Dynamics Corp. (NYSE: GD) acquiredf Anteon in 2006 for $2.2 CI Capital and CoVant management havecommitted $200 million in equitt in the new investment firm. Kampvf will serve as chief executiveof CoVant. Its boarsd of directors includes William Perry, a former secretary of and Hugh Shelton, a former chairman of the joingt chiefs of staff.
Covant's first purchase is of Fredericksburg-basedf A-T Solutions, a privately held companyu thatprovides anti-terrorism training and consulting services. The A-T Solutionas management team is retaining a significantg equity position inthe company.
